Fortunately for the Reds a win is a win, even if it is an ugly win. The Reds used some unconventional ways in winning their first round matchup against Bennett yesterday afternoon. Eaton defeated the Tigers 16-14 and now moves onto the quarterfinals. The Reds struggled offensively and we’re not able to gain a first down until the third quarter. Fortunately the defense was able to step up and cause four turnovers, the last, an interception, sealed the victory for the Reds. The Reds started the scoring when the defense returned a fumble recovery for a touchdown. They would add a field goal and an offensive touchdown and then hold on for dear life. The Tigers marched down the field with time expiring nearing the goal line with every play. The Reds defense need a stop more than ever before. Tigers score your season is over but if you stop the Tigers you live to see another day. Seconds later the Reds picked off their second interception of the day and lived to see another day. The Reds will now play host to the number two ranked team, the Kent Denver Sundevils. The game will be played on Saturday, November 14 with the kick-off at 1:00pm.
